Fireman’s Plaque Dedication
A well attended ceremony was held by the Philadelphia fire department as sponsored by the Bocce Club and others to dedicate a plaque to a fallen fire fighter. Captain Mortimer died at the firehouse in 1954, and his family of more than 40 people, as well as 40 additional community people attended the service at the firehouse last week.
A special thanks goes out to Frank Hendrie and also Frank Galioto for their continued dedication to the club to help the community and to continue to link the Bocce club to the Chestnut Hill area events.
Representing the Bocce at the service was Tom Mellett, Frank Hendrie, John Morina, Mike O’Hara, Frank Galioto, as well as several others which we would like to thank for their attendance.
